I grew up in Northwest Iowa on an acreage North of Orange City, Iowa. I attended Orange City Christian School and Unity Christian High School. I moved to Pella after graduating from Northwestern College (go Red Raiders) and have been here ever since. Although many call me crazy God has blessed me with a passion and love for middle schoolers. I am so blessed to get the opportunity to teach middle school at Pella Christian Grade School.
One of my favorite Bible verses is Deuteronomy 32:2 "Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundent rain on tender plants." I also love the passage from John 15 about the Vine and the Branches.
In my free time I love watching/playing sports, running, lifting weights, reading, watching movies, or just hanging out with friends over coffee and ice cream.
My favorite thing about my job is the kids. I love the kids and the crazy things middle schoolers do. I am blessed to be able to come to a place where everyone loves and desires to serve the same Lord that I love and desire to serve. One of my favorite things to ask my students is if they are having fun with the life God gave them.
