7A homeroom: 7th/8th Science
-Graduated from Dordt College with a BA in Education and an area in Psychology and Sociology.
-taught 4th grade at PCGS for 4 years.
-taught Spark at PCGS for 1 year.
-substituted in the Pella area schools for many years.
-worked 9 years as an insurance associate until coming back to Pella Christian in 2006.
-married to Phil and they have four children who graduated from Pella Christian Grade School. (Lindsay, Dan, Matt, and Joseph)
 

I grew up on a grain farm in DeMotte, Indiana and have 5 brothers and 3 sisters. My husband, Phil, is a native of this area and has 4 siblings in town. Our daughter Lindsay graduated from Calvin College and is married to John Feenstra. They live in Grand Rapids where she works in commercial photography. John owns a landscaping business. They have one child born in Oct. of 2009-our first grandchild-Adelyn.  Dan graduated from Dordt and works in the offices of Precision Inc in Pella. Matt is a graduate of Dordt college and is in the Nuclear Medicine program at Mercy College of Health Sciences. Joseph just graduated from UNI with a major in  graphic communications.

I've always had a soft heart for the middle school age. It's a challenging time for them with a lot of changes. They need a lot of love and understanding as they're  becoming independent. I appreciate the tremendous energy and creative sense of humor that keeps me highly entertained! I'm always amazed at the spiritual maturity shown.
