I have been married to Bruce Groenendyk since July of 1980 and for most of those years we have lived on the Groenendyk family farm. (We spent 1 year in Sioux Center, IA, and 3 years in SW Minnesota before moving here.) The Lord blessed us with two sons: Alan, who is 25, and Nathan, who is 22. Alan married Lindy Talsma on Dec., 19, 2009 so we are now blessed with a wonderful daughter-in-law. Alan and Lindy reside in Wyoming, MI. Alan works for the Prince Conference Center on Calvin College's campus, and Lindy is a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids. Nathan is in Phoenix, AZ, teaching music at Phoenix Christian School.
My hobbies and interests include gardening, tennis, running, reading, and music (singing, playing organ, piano, and clarinet).
I love teaching! The daily variety, challenges, and joys make every day a new experience. It is such a joy to let the light of God's Word shine through all subjects and aspects of the day. A favorite Bible passage of mine is Romans 12:9-21 because it provides such a complete set of guidelines for daily living. |
