I am truly blessed to be a part of the Pella Christian community. I had a wonderful school experience when I attended Pella Christian and now it's a joy to be a part of the staff. The desire to become a teacher stems from the time I spent here as a student and as a volunteer during high school. I was able to see amazing Christian teachers impacting lives and I pray that I can do that also. I am currently teaching the following resource classes: 7th grade Literature and Math, and 8th grade math and English. I also teach Thinking Skills to 1st and 2nd grade during specific quarters and pull-out enrichment classes (SPARK) to students in grades 3 through 6. I also lead a before school session for 7th and 8th graders who want to be challenged in all areas of academics. I am always learning more about how to best meet the needs of each student. I love teaching and I am grateful to be able to impact student's lives each day.

My family is a huge reason why I desired to move back to the Pella area. I especially enjoy spending time with friends, my nieces and nephew, reading, and going for walks. My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
