I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. and graduated from Calvin College in 1989.  My husband and I lived and worked in the western suburbs of Chicago for 10 years.  I am married to Jon, who is employed at Vermeer.  I have 3 children.  Josh is a senior at Calvin College, Jillian is a sophomore at Pella Christian High School and Jaclyn is in 8^th grade at Pella Christian Grade.  This is my 7^th year working as lead teacher in the One To Grow On preschool program.  I love my job!

Children are a gift from God.  Each child is unique and special.  As a preschool teacher, it is my desire and prayer to help each child discover and grow in the love of God, the wonder of his creation, and honor him in their life.

Brenda Huisman is the assistant teacher from the One to Grow On classes.  Brenda is married to Nathan and they have one daughter who is a 5th grader at PCGS.  Since college Brenda has taught 3rd/4th grade at Peoria Christian School and has worked as a Day Care Provider.  She and her family attend Peace Lutheran Church.  She is an avid scrapbooker and enjoys bike riding and reading.
