Pella Christian Grade School began teaching Spanish in the first grade classroom four years ago.  Each year we've been adding grades and today our elementary spanish program spans grades Kindergarten through four.  Our current Spanish program is a subject taught twice weekly for twenty minutes.  In 2010 we learned about a Christian school in Zeeland Michigan who started an immersion program alongside their traditional program.  In the immersion program students learned all of their subject matter in the Spanish language.    

Pella Christian Grade School approved the start of a Spanish Immersion program beginning with the 2012-13 school year.  We will begin the program with a kindergarten/1st grade combined classroom and add a Spanish immersion section to each grade in subsequent years until the Spanish immersion program is fully developed which will occur when the first group of students is in sixth grade.  Pella Christian's current K-8 program will continue to be an option for parents enrolling their child(ren).
