Pella Christian Grade School's culture of generosity and gratitude is an extension of our commitment to excellence. Your charitable gifts provide every student with the best education and experience possible. Charitable gifts are necessary to help sustain and expand the mission. It takes a combination of tuition and charitable donations to provide the distinctive qualities a Christ-centered education offers:

The Annual Fund raises unrestricted gifts to support the operating budget, which includes instructional materials, programs, equipment and technology, faculty professional development, and facility maintenance. The Annual Fund is tax-deductible where tuition is not.
Pella Christian Grade School is a part of the Heart of Iowa STO. Funds collected throughout the year will be distributed to families the following school year. Donors will receive an Iowa Tax Credit Certificate for 65% of their donation.
Pella Christian Grade School families will receive up to $250,000 in needs-based tuition assistance from the Heart of Iowa STO. Iowa State taxpayers who donate to the Heart of Iowa STO receive a 65% tax credit on all donations.

In addition to the Heart of Iowa STO Pella Christian Grade School seeks to raise an additional $150,000 for needs based assistance. These monies are given to families who complete an outside agency application. The PCGS finance committee reviews that application and awards scholarships based on need and the availability of funds.
PCGS accepts cash, check, and credit card. Cash or check may be submitted through the development office. Credit card gifts may be made online to the Annual Fund or Tuition Assistance.
PCGS accepts and appreciates gift commitments (pledges) which are documented in writing and payable by an agreed upon and specified date. A pledge does not provide the donor with an income tax deduction until the year in which it is paid. To obtain your pledge balance, contact the school office. Pledge payments may be made by cash or check submitted directly to the office or by making credit card payments online to the Annual Fund, Tuition Assistance or to the Soaring to New Heights Campaign.
Contact the office to notify and for stock transfer instructions. Unless otherwise requested by the donor or the Board, all marketable securities will be sold upon receipt.
Gifts in kind are gifts of tangible personal property that are in good condition, useful in educational programming, and/or readily salable. Gifts in kind must be approved in advance through the development office. It is the donor's responsibility to place a value on an in-kind gift for tax purposes.
Pella Christian Grade School has an ongoing partnership with Barnabas, an organization specializing in planned giving. Please contact the office if you are interested in discussing planned gift options, such as estate planning, bequests, will, charitable remainder trusts, annuities, insurance, or other forms forms of planned giving.
