Partners in Education (PIE) is Pella Christian Grade School's parent-teacher organization. Every parent whose child is enrolled at the school is automatically a member. PIE's purpose is threefold: Building community among parents, showing appreciation to staff, and raising funds to support teaching and learning at Pella Christian Grade School. PIE meets four times each year and all parents are welcome to attend. The meetings are held in the PCGS conference room and childcare is provided. Check the school calendar for the next PIE meeting. Learn more about PIE's annual activities below.
This fundraiser is held annually in October. For the past two years, PIE has sold hot cocoa.
Winter Bash is PIE.’s largest fundraising event. The money raised is used to enhance teaching and learning at Pella Christian Grade School. This event is held in February and includes a silent auction with a "buy it now" option, sales of gift certificates from local businesses supporting PCGS, and a meal and entertainment the whole family will enjoy.
This annual fundraiser is held in March or April. In the past PIE has partnered with local businesses to sell coupon cards to the community. Proceeds from this fundraiser are used to enhance teaching and learning at PCGS.
This annual event held in April is a time for students to invite Grandparents or Special Friends to participate in classroom activities. Typically, a Grand Day is held the day following the spring music program. PIE provides refreshments and hosts our special friends throughout the morning.
